Our standard features vary by community and floor plan. During your consultation, we'll walk you through exactly what's included in your selected home and review any available upgrade options. You can also find Standard Features Lists on each community pages.
Are floor plans customizable?
Absolutely! Whether you'd like to make a few modifications to one of our existing floor plans or design a completely custom home from the ground up, we'll work with you to create a home that fits your vision and lifestyle.
Will you build on my own lot?
Yes! If you've already found the perfect location, we're happy to build your home on your lot. If you are still trying to find the perfect location we encourage you to check Our Communities.
Do I need a construction loan?
No. You do not need to secure a construction loan. Our team will guide you through the financing process and explain your available options.
How long does the process typically take?
The timeline varies depending on the size and complexity of your home, weather conditions, permitting, and material availability. On average, the construction process takes approximately 6-8 months from groundbreaking to closing.
Do I get access to my home during the construction process?
We offer a guided walkthrough process throughout construction. You'll have three scheduled opportunities to tour your home with our team:
- Electrical Walkthrough
- Trim Walkthrough
- Final Walkthrough
These milestones allow you to see your home's progress and ask questions along the way.
Does my home come with a warranty?
Yes. Every Diamond Peak home includes an industry-standard one-year workmanship warranty and a 10-year structural warranty, as outlined by the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB). Your warranty begins on the day of closing and remains active through your one-year anniversary for workmanship coverage.
Can I provide my own materials?
To ensure the highest level of quality and consistency, we carefully source all materials used in your home. Because of this, homeowners are not permitted to provide their own materials.
How do home inspections work?
Throughout the construction process, your home undergoes all required inspections to ensure it meets all applicable building codes and our quality standards. Inspections are completed at various stages of construction before your home is ready for closing.

Where does Diamond Peak build?
Diamond Peak proudly builds in premier communities throughout Northwest Indiana, including Crown Point, Valparaiso, Cedar Lake, St. John, WInfield, and Dyer. If you already own land or have found the perfect location, we're also happy to build on your lot.
